When I was young I wanted to be a treasure hunter, or a circus acrobat, or a crime-fighting detective. Instead I decided to tell stories about those people, and now some of them have won cool awards, and my latest book – Wild Boy – will soon be a big film, but really I still just dream about finding treasure.
