About Gareth P Jones
Over the last 13 years, Blue Peter Award winning author/performer Gareth P Jones has written 40 books for children of all ages, including Ninja Meerkats, The Thornthwaite Inheritance, Death or Ice Cream, Are You The Pirate Captain? and The Dragon Detective series. He also regularly performs at various music and book festivals including Latitude, Greenman, Hay and the Edinburgh Book Festival, where he plays songs inspired by his books while playing various musical instruments. Sometimes, he works in television as an Edit Producer but no one ever seems to understand what that means. In 2019 he appeared on Blue Peter (as well as scripting and appearing in their online mystery) and on The One Show. He lives with his wife, Lisa, children (Herbie and Autumn) and tortoise (whose name is a subject of some disagreement).
